Jack’s Condition

Jack Duffy suffers from Cerebral Palsy Spastic Quadriplegia. At three he cannot sit on his own, feed himself or speak. Despite this he is a happy and loving young child who loves nothing more than attention from others. One thing that stands out about Jack is his smile - it melts your heart.

After his birth, when specialists in Melbourne couldn’t find answers for his family, St Giles gave his family direction and advice on his care. They also gave his family much needed support and friendship. These days Jack goes to St Giles almost daily.

Due to the serious nature of Jack’s condition he will always receive professional care from St Giles. This fundraiser is not about raising money for Jack. It is about raising money to ensure all those Tasmanian children and families who require specialist care, however limited, can access it.
